With more than 70 golf courses across the state, New Mexico offers a nice variety of golf course options from which to choose. Many of the popular courses are in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas or within an easy drive and there are a handful of resort golf courses too. The temperate climate through out much of New Mexico make golf year round very enjoyable.
Albuquerque is the largest city with numerous courses throughout the area while Santa Fe is about 50 miles to the north. In the North Western part of New Mexico, Farmington is the home of one of the best public golf courses in the country according to Golf Digest Magazine a few years back – Pinion Hills is definitely worth playing if you’re in the area.
